The Governance Group, or G-Group, is a member of the network "The Potsdam eGovernment Competence Center" (IfG.CC) and focuses on the potential of information and communication technologies (ICT) to modernize government. It provides governments worldwide with research and transfer services, eServices and consulting services strongly related to the utilization of ICT in the public sector.

The eGovernment Competence Center has its head office in the capital region in Potsdam, Germany, close to the seats of three governments – the German federal government and the state governments of Berlin and Brandenburg.
